NOKOMIS

Nenaboozhoo’s grandmother, and the granddaughter of the Moon herself. After a quarrel with her sister, Nokomis was sent hurtling down to earth, where she married a bear and had a daughter. That daughter would marry the West Wind and give birth to four children, the eldest and most powerful of which was Nenaboozhoo.

A beautiful old woman with silver braided hair, she is always smiling and laughing and is always watching over Nenaboozhoo. Her eyes are filled with the sparkle of the stars.
